Uses of Prozac
Treats depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD),
and eating disorders. Belongs to a group of drugs called selective
serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).

How to take Prozac
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any
other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins,
and herbal products. - Avoid drinking alcohol. - Make sure your
doctor knows if you are taking blood thinners such as Coumadin®,
digoxin (Lanoxin®), tryptophan, or medicines that can make you
sleepy, such as sleeping pills, some cold or allergy medicines,
strong pain killers, muscle relaxers, or tranquilizers.

Effects
Chest pain - Fast pounding heartbeat - Feelings of intense
agitation or anxiety - Rash or hives with itching - Wheezing or
trouble breathing

| Precautions
of Prozac
Talk with your doctor before taking fluoxetine if you have
seizures, diabetes, liver or kidney disease or if you are pregnant
or breastfeeding. - This medicine may make you dizzy or sleepy. Be
careful if you are driving a car or using machinery. - You may need
to take this medicine for a couple of weeks before you start to feel
better. - Stand up slowly from a lying or sitting position to
decrease dizziness caused by this medicine.

Interactions of Prozac
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this
medicine.

Inform your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and
over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Additional monitoring
of your dose or condition may be needed if you are taking an ACE
inhibitor, an anticoagulant, furosemide, lithium, or fluconazole.
Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies,
pregnancy, or breast-feeding. |

| Missed
Dosages of Prozac
If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go
back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT take 2 doses at once.

Store the tablets at room temperature, away from heat or moisture.
Keep all medicine out of the reach of children.
